It’s February and love is in the air. For couples all across the country, this month can either be a dream or a nightmare. If you thoroughly enjoy being intimate with your spouse, then you work extremely hard to keep the fire burning and your Boo satisfied.
These days, there are so many options for building intimacy in our marriages. But it often gets neglected because we are constantly on the go. So many of us find ourselves overworked and overtired. By the time we hit our beds, we’re too tired to hit anything else. The day has been long and just even the thought of intimacy wears us out even further.
So what can we do make sure we don’t neglect this area of our relationship? One of my favorite ways to light things up is to send something really spicy in a text message while my husband’s at work. The anticipation is hot which makes the loving later on, heavy.
Following are some not so subtle text messages that can turn your spouse on. Read them, send them, then put them to work.
Text Message #1 – “Itch…Scratch”
Text Message #2 – “I’m hungry. You got anything to eat.”
Text Message #3 – “Tonight, I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.”
Text Message #4 – “Party tonight! Attire: Birthday suit.”
Text Message #5 – “I’m feeling horny. Let’s get it on.”
Text Message #6 – “Close your eyes. Now, imagine me shouting ‘YES’! Can you make that happen?”
Text Message #7 – “Whatcha wearin’?”
Text Message #8 – “Let’s talk about sex, Baby!”
Text Message #9 – “I know it’s not Wednesday, but can it still be hump day?”
Text Message #10 -“I’ve been bad. I need a spanking.”
Now, barring some unforeseen event, these text messages will set your spouse up for a night of unyielding passion. However, you can’t just leave it there. Now that there’s an expectation that some good loving is on the way, you’ve got to set the stage – and the mood – just right. In other words, you must be prepared to take responsibility for your actions.
Here are some things to take care of once you hit “send.”
- Make sure the kids are away or in bed – I’m sure I don’t need to say why this is necessary.
- Make sure you have a nice dinner planned for the evening – The bottom line is you will probably need as much strength as you can muster. Whether you prepare a nice meal together or have it catered, spending time eating a meal provides additional opportunity for foreplay.
- Have a nice card or note of gratitude for your spouse to read – The text message is just a precursor to deeper intimate thoughts. Having a nice card on hand will further soften your spouse and take your love-making beyond lust.
- Don’t forget mood music and sexy lighting – Whether it’s Luther, John Legend, or someone else, the music that gets your juices flowing ought to be playing in the background. And slow dancing under candlelight will let your spouse know you really meant what you said in the text message you sent.
- Get it on.
The importance of intimacy in our marriages can’t be overstated. So whether it’s February or December, take a few minutes, plan ahead and make your wife or husband know that you’re ready to get busy.
BMWK, is the loving still fresh after Valentine’s Day?
