4 Great Things for Couples To Do in Philadelphia

Sometimes you need to get away and rekindle that loving feeling, but you just don’t have the time or resources to travel too far.  Recently, I spent a long weekend in Philadelphia, and I have to say it offers some pretty incredible opportunities to have fun and reconnect with the one who has your heart.

Sure, Philly has plenty of awesome family-friendly attractions, but Philly also offers endless opportunities to spice things up and give your relationship the romantic touch it needs.  Consider these experiences and let Philly help you fall in love… all over again.

The old-fashioned Victorian charm at The Franklin Fountain, named to honor famed Philadelphian Benjamin Franklin, creates the perfect setting to enjoy ice-cream sodas, milkshakes, sundaes, splits and, of course, a variety of homemade ice creams.

Morris Arboretum offers 92 acres of lush gardens, making it the perfect place for a date when the weather is right.  You can even enjoy a romantic meal at their Compton Café, or in the designated picnic area. The arboretum connects you to nature and to one another.

Valley Forge Historical Park is a great place to go biking, hiking, bird-watching, or horseback riding.  It’s also a great place to learn a few things about American history by going on a guided tour. The view at Valley Forge is so relaxing it makes you want to get a couple of bikes and just ride.

Franklin Fountain offers a pretty cool “old school” ice cream shop experience with great taste.  Go there on a really warm night and you are sure to wait on line, but the wait is actually worth it.  Take a romantic stroll through Philly and before you turn in be sure to stop at Franklin Fountain for some ice cream that will have you both smiling from ear to ear.

Over a century old, Moshulu offers wonderful views, excellent service, and a palate-pleasing culinary experience.  With excellent seafood, and much, much more, Moshulu is a grand ship offering one of the best fine dining experiences that Philly has to offer.  It’s definitely a place to wine and dine the one you love most.
