If you have kids you’ve probably been on a vacation where you had to remind yourself that the trip was all about them. You remembered that you could have been somewhere nice, and plush but you took one for the team and opted for a “kid-friendly” vacation where the the takeaway was seeing the smiles on their faces. Well, who said that you can’t have both? I recently spent several days touring Azul Resort properties in the Cancun, Mexico area and they were amazing! You really have to see for yourself, so I’ve put together a few pictures with a few explanations of why your family should visit an Azul Resort ASAP!
KID FRIENDLY DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN CHILDLIKE
The room that I stayed in (pictured above) at the Azul Beach Resort was a family suite that slept 5. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found this out, because normally family suites equate to cheesy decor with lots of plastic LOL. The resorts also have a fantastic partnership with Fisher-Price. You’ll see this benefit upon your arrival when your kids get to select from a “toy menu” of Fisher-Price items that they would like to have in their room. Your kids also have the option of playing and participating in activities at the Azulitos Kid’s Club that is designed by Fisher-Price, and can be found on each property. If you have a small baby on board then don’t worry about packing anything other than diapers. The Azul properties offer strollers, cribs, in-room playpens, refrigerators, baby monitors, bottle warmers and bottle sterilizers, baby-sized plush robes and baby food. If you’ve ever lugged a stroller on an airplane, then you’ll immediately see the benefit of this! Chances are you’ll also run into Fisher-Price’s Little People during your stay as well. So make sure you get a pic with them and the kids.
THE GOURMET INCLUSIVE DINING EXPERIENCE
The food at all three of the properties that I visited (Azul Beach, Azul Sensatori, Azul Fives) was amazing! The Karisma hotels website describes Gourmet Inclusive as “two steps above all inclusive” and I can’t disagree with that analysis. While staying at one of the Azul properties you’ll never go hungry, and you’ll never find yourself eating meals that don’t contain flavor and zest. I loved that the full service restaurants offer a choice of menu selections, and how each resort had their own specialty restaurants as well. For example, the Azul Beach Resort has Tainan which features Asian-inspired dishes, Roma if you have a taste for Italian, Latino (I’ll let you guess what type of food they offer), and lets not forget the Avagero Tequila bar.
BREATHTAKING PROPERTIES
Every time I stepped out of my room, I felt as thought I was stepping into the pages of a magazine. The properties really are breathtaking. Each of the three properties that I visited all had their own distinct flavor. Azul Beach was quiet and secluded, Azul Sensatori was lively and festive, and the rooftop decks at Azul Fives are just hard to describe. Personally, if I wanted to get away from everything I’d pick Azul Beach, if I wanted to be active and around more people I’d choose Azul Sensatori and if I were traveling with other friends or family I’d choose Azul Fives. I hope that helped.
LOCAL CULTURE THAT YOU’LL LOVE
Besides offering great accommodations with beautiful beaches all three resorts give you an opportunity to see the Mayan Riviera, and all that is has to offer up close. During our trip I had an opportunity to explore the Mayan Ruins of Tulum. It really was amazing to see structures that were built in the late 13th century, and still standing today.
R-O-M-A-N-C-E
These properties were built for lovers. I know that we’re talking about taking your family along, but at some point during your stay you need to check the kids into Azulitos and enjoy time for yourselves. There are over sized tubs that will make you want to take a long, hot bath. You can get a message inside of the Spa or overlooking the sea. You can even have a romantic dinner for two on the beach. The Azul resorts provide a great opportunity for you to recharge your relationship, all while the kids are a few steps away.
During my stay I was throughly impressed over, and over again, and I’m sure that you will be to. Now the only question is, which resort will you choose?
Disclaimer: I was provided with the opportunity to stay and tour the resorts as a member of the Fisher-Price Play Ambassador program. The onions expressed in this post are my own.
