Ladies, have you ever just sat and observed your man? Ever wondered what makes him do the things he does? Sometimes it makes you chuckle, other times it has you scratching your head. While we love them beyond words, sometimes they leave us puzzled. We may not always come right out and ask you about these behaviors, but some wives often wonder about their husbands’ actions or behaviors.
So fellas, we’re curious. Here are just a few of the many questions I’ve heard wives contemplate about their husbands.
- Why don’t you talk or share as much as we do? I know I can share with my husband every single detail of my day, whereas he’s a man of fewer words. Though he’ll share some, it won’t be as lengthy as my stories.
- Why aren’t you neater around the house? I’ve heard this one from so many wives. They often wonder why their husbands don’t clean up after themselves. They think maybe it has something to do with his upbringing. But it has had women puzzled for years.

- How do you manage your emotions so well? For many wives, rarely do they see their husbands emotional. We know they’re human too, so where and with whom are the men in our lives releasing the emotions they too must be experiencing with life in general.
- Why can’t you tell when other women are flirting with you? Some men seem clueless when other women are coming on to them. As wives, we pick it up right away, yet our husbands always thinks things are innocent.
- Why do questions bother you so much? I noticed this one with my husband as well. He usually wants me to come right out and ask one main question instead of a bunch of other questions. But sometimes it takes me a minute to even understand what I want, so those other questions lead me there.
- Why don’t you like to ask for directions or questions in general? Now with GPS systems you don’t have to. But I’ve always wondered why men had to just figure things out without asking for help. Men, what’s so wrong with asking for help?
- What is it about sex for you? Many women have wondered why sex is needed so often by their husbands. Sex is enjoyable, but for some women, being tired could easily become an excuse not to have sex. I don’t hear that as often with men. It seems as though they could have it multiple times a day if given an opportunity.
Men, we adore you, we really do. We just sometimes want to understand you. These questions are a great beginning as I’ve heard many in my circle have similar questions. Although men and women will never be the same, it’s still good to get an understanding of why we do what we do.
