You’ve likely seen the annual Best Colleges rankings from U.S. News and World Reports, but now there is a new ranking, specifically for African Americans.
ESSENCE partnered with Money Magazine to unveil their inaugural list of the 50 Best Colleges for African Americans. In addition to typical data such as graduation rates, post-college earnings and college costs, the list factors in African American-specific interests, such as the percentage of the African American student body, the graduate rates for African Americans and the racial climate around campus.
So drum roll please…The top schools are:
1. Princeton University
2. Harvard University
3. Duke University
4. Cornell University
5. Florida A&M University
