Baltimore Teen Faces Life in Prison for Rioting after He Turned Himself In

Photos surfaced of 18-year-old Allen Bullock smashing a police car with a traffic cone and breaking the window during protests in Baltimore.

After discovering what his stepson did, Maurice Hawkins encouraged Bullock to turn himself in to authorities. Bullock did as he was told and is now being held on $500,000 bail, which his parents are unable to afford.

Bullock was charged with eight criminal counts, including rioting and malicious destruction of property after arriving at the Baltimore Juvenile Justice Center with his stepfather, Maurice Hawkins.

According to the Guardian, Maurice’s mother and stepfather regret what they did.

According to state sentencing guidelines, rioting in Maryland carries a maximum sentence of life, but Bullock’s parents say he could realistically face between four to eight years.

BMWK, would you have turned your son in?
