Black Girl Travel Offers Trips for Women of Color

travel flight

Whether you’ve dreamed of gracing the sands of Egypt or sailing the rivers of Italy, the Internet-based organization, Black Girl Travel can make that a reality.

Developer, Fleacé Weaver, organized the first tour, “Bella Italia” in 2006 with more than 50 participants. Black Girl Travel organizes tours to countries including Greece, Egypt, and France customized for specific purposes. One such purpose is the “Divas and Daughters” trip to Italy for girls aged 8 to 17 to be introduced to Italian culture.

The group’s mission is to expose black women to “the beauty of the world and the beauty of [other] black women” through international tours and programs. They also encourage intercontinental dialogue and charity with “Sistahs Without Borders,” which is included in each tour.
