Black Marriage Day is March 22, 2015 and the theme for this year is Respect the Ring! Black Marriage Day started in 2003 with just 30 cities and has grown to over 300 communities across the country.

Detroit
The Wright Museum and Marriage Resource Center present Black Marriage Day 2015. Black Marriage Day 2015 will be held for married couples, as well as those who are engaged, seriously dating or looking to get married, on Saturday, March 21 beginning at 11 am. Tickets are $50 per couple in advance, $55 the day of the event. Tickets are available online, at the museum’s Information Desk, or by phone at (800) 838-3006. Covenant Keepers Marriage Ministry This event is for couples who are seriously dating, engaged, and married. Join us as we celebrate black love. Tickets for the black marriage day events are $20 couple. You can purchase tickets at the FWBC Media Desk, or the Narthex on Sunday morning.
The event includes:
First: Mid-day Movie and Popcorn, followed by discussion, at Friendship-West, from 12 noon until 3:00 p.m.
Second: Couples Roller-skating and Pizza Party at the Forum Roller World, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Tell us what you think and how marriage builds a strong foundation for your community. Share your ideas, your thoughts, your interpretation and your beliefs about love, marriage and family in 250 words or less. The actually BMD Celebration is Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Oasis Of Hope Baptist Church, 1701 East 25th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46218 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Louisiana
New Orleans Mocha Moms: Saturday, March 21, 2015, “Respect the Ring!” We’re switching things up a bit and making it a casual and fun date night with bowling at Colonial Lanes in Harahan. If you are married, engaged or thinking about marriage, then this is an event you don’t want to miss! Tickets are $45 per couple and $25 for a single ticket and includes two hours of bowling, food & beverages.

First Things First of Greater Richmond In honor of Black Marriage Day, First Things First of Greater Richmond will highlight healthy marriages for the week of March 22 – March 27.
