Lamar and I (along with our family) spent last week in Florida at Disney World with the Hanes Comfort Crew. The Comfort Crew consists of a group of bloggers who are social media influencers that will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the Hanes brand team to provide them with input on their social media strategies.
When Lamar and I were first approached about participating on the Hanes Comfort Crew we were excited to accept for many reasons. First, we actually use Hanes (along with 88% of all US housholds.) Second, Hanes is doing so many positive things in the community…to name a few:
- Environmental Responsibility – Hanes aspires to be an industry leader in overall environmental responsibility and because of their efforts, they were named an U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Energy Star Partner of the Year in 2010. Did you know that Hanes has EcoSmart products that are made from recycled fabric scraps that will keep 70 million plastic bottles out of landfills?
- Money for Education – Hanes (partnering with Box Tops for Education) allows your school to earn Box Tops just by requesting Hanes when ordering printed T-shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts (from your favorite supplier.) Most schools already participate in Box Tops for Education and most schools already order t-shirts with the school’s name. So what are you waiting for ….please send this information to your child’s school!!!
- Breast Cancer Awareness – Hanes is partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. to promote early detection and provide mammograms for those in need. In addition to donating over 1 million dollars, Hanes is spearheading other programs that will send money to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. For instance, Hanes has a Design a Tee to help Save lives tool/initiative, where they will donate 10% of the retail price for every t-shirt you design and buy to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
Those are all great programs that demonstrate Hanes’ commitment to provide value to our communities!! Since we are members of the Comfort Crew, Hanes has also committed to support community efforts and causes that are important to BMWK. So please stay tuned as we partner with Hanes in our effort to support happy healthy marriages and families!!!
