Denzel and Pauletta Washington celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in Portofino, Italy. The couple was all smiles as they walked hand in hand, talked to village locals and enjoyed an anniversary meal at a restaurant. Director Spike Lee joined forces with New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu to launch “Flip the Script,” a public awareness campaign designed to curb incidents of black on black crime in the city. The campaign uses television, radio, print, outdoor ads and digital components targeting messages toward young black men across New Orleans in the hope of changing the attitudes and perceptions of young men by changing negative headlines into positive ones. “The numbers don’t lie — young black men are killing each other at an alarming rate, and this is a bold attempt to try and spotlight this issue,” said Lee. Comedian Cedric the Entertainer has landed a guest starring role on the new CBS hit series, “Two Broke Girls.” The Soul Man star plays Darius, son of diner worker Earl who is played by actor Garrett Morris. Cedric will appear on this seasons sixth episode of the series which airs Mondays at 9. TV Guide

Haitian actor Jimmy Jean-Louis took home the jury prize for best actor in a Carribean Film at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival for his portrayal of Toussaint L’Ouverture in the film by the same name. Condolences to rapper LL Cool J and family following the loss of his father over the weekend. The rapper tweeted: “”RIP to My Father James Nunya. You passed away yesterday.
