Denzel Washington talked to Vulture about being waterboarded during filming for his new movie Safe House. Denzel performed the torturous and dangerous stunt, in which his captors in the movie poured water over his face to cause him to experience a drowning sensation, because he “wanted to see what it would be like.” After experiencing the torture tactic, Denzel said “Imagine having that done for 20, 30 seconds? You will give up the answers! You may not necessarily tell the truth, but you will tell [your captors] whatever they want to hear.” {Vulture}
