Former NBA baller-turned-businessman Magic Johnson opened up to the Los Angeles Times, saying he wished he hadn’t chosen to retire early from basketball due to his HIV diagnosis 20 years ago. Magic said that if he had known more about the disease and that he would be able to stay healthy, he would have continued to play. He also talked about how important his wife Cookie’s support has been in helping him to live with HIV.  {Colorlines}

NFL superstar Deion Sanders talked family and reality television during an interview this week. “Prime Time” said that he loved doing his reality show, Prime Time Love with wife Pillar in 2008 because it gave them a chance to show a positive image of an African American family on television. President Barack Obama celebrated his 50th birthday this week.
