Celeb Marriage Scene: Mariah and Nick Show Off “Dem Babies”; Will Soul Food Get Another Go On The Small Screen?


Looks like we’ll all finally get a first look at Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s little ones. 5-month-old twins Monroe and Moroccan will make their television debut on ABC’s 20/20 tonight. The couple also spills details about their difficult conception and high-risk pregnancy to Barbara Walters. {USA Today}

Rumor has it that Twentieth Century Fox is looking to bring the Showtime series, Soul Food, based off of the 1997 movie, back to the small screen. The original television series ran from 2000 to 2004 and network execs are said to be ready to rework the show for a new generation of viewers. No word yet on whether any of the original Soul Food’s stars, like now-married actors Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kudjoe, will be a part of the new project. {Media Bistro}  

First Mom Michelle Obama got candid with Today, saying despite being the other half to the head of the free world, her concerns for her kids are that of any other mom. “Like any other mother, I’m just hoping I don’t mess them up,” said the First Lady. {Today}

Rapper Snoop Dogg brought in the big 4-O by celebrating with his wife Shante and sons Corde and Cordell at his birthday party at the Rolling Stone Lounge on October 18. Snoop made it clear that he doesn’t forsee himself retiring from rap anytime soon and talked about his dreams for his kids’ futures saying “I dream that my daughter does well in the music industry, but my boys, I want them to be athletic,” he said. “I want them to just do whatever they want to do in life.” {Black Celeb Kids}  

Holly Robinson-Peete headed to the famous Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Los Angeles with her four children earlier this week. The family went on the pumpkin patch outing on the birthday of her twins, Ryan Elizabeth and Rodney Jr, and Holly tweeted photos of the family fun. {Momtastic}
