Don Cheadle Launches Indiegogo Campaign for Miles Davis Film

Don Cheadle has launched a campaign on Indiegogo to raise $325k to help fund “Miles Ahead,” his feature directorial debut. A film about the late, great jazz musician, Miles Davis. Cheadle was chosen by the Davis family to create the film.

Cheadle, who has been passionate about music since he was a child, is creating this film because the Miles Davis story has never truly been brought to life on screen. According to Cheadle, the film is “focused in on a very specific point in his life to explore his relationship with his muse, his voice, his fears and challenges to come out of his silent period and return to the music. I’m hopefully making a movie that tells a story many people can relate to, jazz fan or not.”

If you are interested in helping him raise the additional money needed to make this film a success, check out the Indiegogo campaign, which offers pretty cool pledge prizes, like a set visit or even a chance to be “in” the film, just to name a few.

Created to appeal to everyone, not just jazz fans, we think “Miles Ahead” will get a lot of buzz.
