Don’t Let One Bad Season Ruin Your Entire Marriage

Let’s face it; as beautiful as marriage is we all have ruts sometimes. Even the healthiest and best relationships have seasons: seasons of happiness, transition, and even seasons of falling in love all over again. Yes, you heard me right. Sometimes in long term relationships, if you don’t watch out you can let one of the seasons ruin everything you have worked so hard to build! The question becomes:

in those trying seasons will you SEED what you NEED instead of playing GAMES and placing BLAME?!

Happiness

It’s newlywed heaven when you first get into a relationship or marriage; your emotions are on level 10 and your mate can’t do anything wrong; you are willing to do WHATEVER it takes to make him or her happy. You’re spontaneous, attentive and affectionate and life is good!

Transition

After a few years, complacency sets in. The spontaneity stops because, well, life happens. You may go from being lover to parent and sometimes that means attention for your children and neglect for your mate. As a man, you may go from lover and boyfriend to provider. Now all the hours you used to put into pleasing her go into pleasing your boss and customers! Life is hard, and sometimes your relationship may suffer because of it.

PAUSE: it’s at this point you have a choice to make! Do you mope and complain about the attention or spontaneity you aren’t getting or do you SEED what you NEED? Do you give the attention that you complain about not getting or do you seek it from someone else? Do you do housework that you complain about not getting done? Do you “plan” the spontaneous dates that you desire? Do you do the sexy things you want done to you or do you conveniently use it as a reason to step out? Do you SEED what you NEED or do you just shut down and blame your mate?

Falling In Love Again

You see, once you SEED what you NEED your mate is more likely to reciprocate! It’s at this time that you begin to realize why you fell in love in the first place. The sex becomes amazing again and you begin to make each other a priority again. You realize that it wasn’t that the love was lost, you both just lost sight of what it took to make sure each other knew it. In this final season you fall in love all over again!

Just like in sports, don’t let one one bad season ruin your entire career, instead get back to the basics, put in the work, and become a hall of famer!
