The Christian community at large has lost an awesome man of God. Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth of the Bahamas, were reported killed in a plane crash on Sunday afternoon. The private jet these two great leaders were on carried nine people and all are said to have died in the crash.
What a tragic loss for the world at large. What a magnificent loss for the Munroe family. Our sympathy and heartfelt condolences go out to the Munroe family. The world has lost a tremendous leader. The Christian community has lost a hero who proclaimed the word of God, leadership principles, and the maximization of your marriage.
Dr. Munroe’s marriage and family platform were strong. I will never forget when my husband and I were having challenges after 4 years of marriage. We were introduced to Dr. Munroe and his prolific stand for the family. Week after week we went to marriage counseling and each week part of our assignment was to watch Dr. Myles Munroe’s marriage videos. This was over 20 years ago and his words were so potent that they still play a role in the success of our marriage today.
As noted in the Bahama Tribune:
“The crash took place this afternoon and killed all nine people on board the private jet. The plane reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area.”
Today we mourn with the Munroe family. Words cannot express the depth of loss felt. Through tears of sorrow, I say this is a life gone too soon. There were nine lives lost and each life is mourned.
When Dr. Munroe and his wife Ruth boarded that plane today do you think they had any idea it would be the last time they would hug their children or kiss their faces? When you see your loved ones give them hugs and kisses. Pay attention to what is going on in your family. Dr. Munroe set the standard and placed the bar high according to what the Bible has to say about family.
