There are some stories that you read or hear about and in the end you can’t help but ask yourself, “What was he/she thinking?” The incident in which a father fed his infant bleach is one of them. As cited in The Grio, a 20 year old father, mixed bleach with his 2 month old baby’s formula after allegedly being told that it would help with her congestion.
Police said Carron Washington broke down crying at the police station and admitted to putting bleach in the child’s bottle, saying he heard from a friend in school that it works as a medical cure. He said he mixed less than a cap-full of bleach with less than two ounces of formula.
What he refers to as “probably be the dumbest decision I ever made in my life,” now has many wondering why he would do such a thing in the first place. For more on this story visit The Grio.
