Yesterday, First Lady Michelle Obama posted a picture of herself on twitter holding a sign that reads “#BringBackOurGirls.”
The First Lady’s tweet says “our prayers are with the Nigerian girls and their families. It’s time to #BringBackourGirls. – mo.”
The Nigerian girls have been missing for 24 days and were captured by Boko Hiram, a terrorist organization in Nigeria. Since the girls have gone missing the #BringBackOurGirls hashtag has been used over 1 million times, showing global support via social media to help bring awareness and action to this heart-wrenching story.
