Got 99 Bonnets, Why Can’t I Just Find One?

Where is it? I know I had it. I always put it right here when I take it off in the morning. Seriously, this is ridiculous, why is my bonnet always missing? It’s as if my bonnet has legs and walks around my house after I leave work. What is she trying to prove by being lost more than being found? And how is it that I have 99 bonnets but I can’t find one? Sound like your life? Because it’s seriously been mine.

On average, I own about 10 bonnets. For some reason many of them are black, a couple have that irrelevant grey band and one is brown. But for the life of me, they always seem to go missing at the same time, especially my favorite one. Now, I know what you’re thinking, how does one have a favorite when many of them look the same? I had to sit back and ask myself this same question. All bands on bonnets are not created equal, so yes, I do have a favorite. It’s that same favorite bonnet that goes missing every time.

So, what can I do to keep my favorite bonnet within arms reach or at least easily found when I want to wear it? I’ve started putting my bonnets in 3 easy places and want to share this with you, in hopes that you can keep your bonnet close and accessible at all times.

1. Nail It

Put a nail on the wall in the bathroom and hang your bonnet. This will ensure your bonnet has a home and should always be hanging around just waiting on you.

2. Pillow/Bed Time

Once you get up, take your bonnet off and leave it on your pillow. Now, there are all sorts of reasons why you shouldn’t do this, so lets say just leave it on your bed. I had a minor break out from some of the grease I picked up off of my bonnet being on my pillow.

3. Door Knob Love

Place your bonnet around the knob on your bedroom or bathroom door. You need to choose a door and stick with it. But your bonnet will be there when you need it and that’s what matters.

If you’re like me and never know where your bonnets are going, start putting them in all three of these places. You’ll cut down on those bonnet searches that we all hate. Get into the habit of wanting to know where your bonnet is as opposed to hoping it’s where you left it. These little things can’t be trusted to stay still.
