For those of you who can’t wait to shower your spouse with some love there’s no need to wait until Valentine’s Day. Tomorrow, January 26, 2013, is Spouse’s Day. Not to be confused with Military Spouse Day, which is in May, Spouse’s Day is a day set aside for you to show your partner that you appreciate them.
Unlike other holidays or anniversaries that often have us in the store or online anxiously seeking out a special gift, Spouse’s Day is a day in which the greatest gift you can give your love is showing them that you value them. After all, while material things have come and gone, your love has and will continue to stand the test of time.
If you are in need of some ideas consider cooking dinner, writing your spouse a love letter or showing them a new way you plan to love them this year. Take the time to remind them that they are not invisible to you and that you love them and accept them for who they are, bad habits and all.
Whatever you do allow it come from your heart and set the tone for the rest of the year, a year in which you designate more time to tell and show the people you care about that they matter. Let 2013 be the year in which you love like you’ve never loved before!
