Here We Go Again. Is Trump Running with the KKK?

We’re now seriously looking into Donald Trump’s slogan, which promises to “Make America Great Again.” The last few weeks of his campaign have us questioning, which American era do Trump and his supporters consider the model for which America need to return.

Last week, we recapped a study that suggested roughly 20 percent of Donald Trump voters didn’t support the executive order to end slavery. Since then, David Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan leader, endorsed Trump. And this past Sunday, Trump danced around his opportunity to disavow support from the Klansman and the KKK, saying, “I don’t believe I’ve ever met him.” (Because that’s super important. You can’t truly know the heart and soul of a career racists unless you get the chance to sit down with that Grand Wizard over a cup of orange Fanta and Baked Lays and look him in the eye.)

Well, there you have it folks…Or do you? Today, Trump blamed his failure to disavow the KKK in that interview on a faulty earpiece. Ok sure, acoustics often play tricks with your hearing.  We often mistake “White supremacy” for “white Superman, see.” Very confusing. Trump’s misunderstanding for the types of groups to disavow could have surely been his earpiece or hairpiece for that matter.

But perhaps, you’ll have to hear it for yourself. Go over to NBCBLK for the video.
