After spending 25 years in prison, a New York City man has been released because he was convicted for a crime he did not commit.
After being arrested in 1989, Jonathan Fleming always stated that he was on a family vacation at Disney World with his wife, kids and mother when the murder took place and could not have committed the crime. At the time, Fleming even had documents to support his alibi, but he was still convicted.
A key witness in the case recanted their testimony which stated that they saw Fleming pull the trigger. Also, new witnesses have come forward, implicating someone else in the crime.
Fleming is now 51 and after being released he was greeted by the warm embrace of relatives, including his 71-year old mother who always held on to hope because she knew here only son was innocent.
