Join BMWK Family Movie Night Watching Trinity Goodheart Starring Eric Benet

As a new feature here on the site we’re going to start giving you ideas for family and date nights so you don’t even have to come up with this stuff yourself! That’s how much we love our BMWK family. We make it so simple to be engaged and present in the lives of your family and your spouse that all you will have to do is execute. In this new feature we’re going to begin by suggesting a Family Movie Night this Saturday night.

Now we wouldn’t suggest anything that we don’t do ourselves. We actually started doing a family movie night last year and our 3 young girls love it and look forward to it. Our oldest daughter is even fully into it even if the movies are ones that are a little young for her that she normally wouldn’t be caught dead watching. This week we’re asking you to join us for a BMWK community Family Movie Night. Below you’ll find the blueprint to your successful Family Movie Night:

The most important component of Family Movie Night is the movie right? Well this week don’t worry about going to Blockbuster (who?), Redbox or streaming online. There is a great movie premiering on GMC TV Network Saturday night at 9PM EST starring soul singer Eric Benet called Trinity Goodheart. We want you to set up your movie night, watch the movie, interact with your family then come back next week to discuss how it went. Check out the trailer and synopsis below:

Synopsis:

When 12-year-old Trinity Goodheart is visited by an angel who leaves her a pendant that belonged to her long-lost mother, Trinity concludes that her mother is in danger and needs her help. What ensues is an effort by Trinity to reunite her disjointed family; and in the process, she teaches them the value of love, faith and forgiveness. Stars Eric Benet, Erica Gluck, James Hong and Mark LaMura

Trinity Goodheart has received 5 DOVES from The Dove Foundation and receives the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for All Ages. Read the complete review at dove.org.

Now besides the movie here are a few other suggestions:

? Have one of the kids be responsible for making the microwave popcorn. Our oldest loves to do this.

? Have plenty of drinks on hand because the popcorn is going to make you thirsty.

? Keep telling the kids to be quiet during the movie (Just kidding\kinda)

? Discuss what’s happening in the movie during commercial breaks to keep everyone engaged.

? You could do a picnic on the floor with sandwiches, fruit, etc… to make it an adventure.

? Do bath time in advance and have the kids in their PJ’s so they can go straight to bed afterward

? If you’re tech savy moms\dads you can tweet about the your movie night too as long as you’re still engaging with the family. Tech in moderation is the key!

These are just a few of our suggestions. Will you be joining us on Saturday night for BMWK Family Movie Night? What other great ideas do you have for the movie night that are not listed?
