It’s been announced that in 2015 the Academy Award-winning star, Lupita Nyong’o, will be joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
The news was announced on starwars.com yesterday. Lupita will be joined by actress Gwendoline Christie from the hit television series Game of Thrones.
In the official announcement, Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, says, “”I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII. It’s thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape.”
Star Wars: Episode VII will hit box offices worldwide on December 18, 2015.
