Mom Gets $5,000 for Letting Internet Choose Her Baby’s Name

Blue Ivy. Blanket. Jermajesty. Mars. Seven. These are some of the creative names that celebrities have chosen to name their children, names that the children will have to grow up with. So what’s in a name? Well for one mother, $5,000.

Natasha Hill is 3 months pregnant. She is being paid $5,000 by a website called Baby Ballot, that allows friends and family members help their loved ones vote for their favorite baby names. Hill; however, is opening up the options for the entire Internet to decide.

“I think people will do the right thing and vote for something unique and nice,” Hill told The Huffington Post.

After the story went viral, people did some research. Come to find out, Natasha Hill is actually an actress named Natasha Lloyd. It appears that Baby Ballot hired her after they received no applications for a $5,000 contest to let the Internet name your baby. So it appears the whole thing was a hoax. There’s no further information on whether or not Natasha is in fact pregnant, and if so, if she will actually allow the masses to choose the name of the supposed child.
