My Idea of Sexy – My Husband

Just like any woman, I love eye candy. I love a clean shaven man with expensive smelling cologne, a nicely tailored suit and don’t get me started on the shoes…Oh the shoes! I also have all the respect in the world for a nicely chiseled body with muscles, dips and rips everywhere.   But I guess with maturity and of course, the love for my own husband, I realize that there’s a different kind of sexy that exists. Call me crazy, but there’s a lot to be said about a man who just finished helping his son with homework and is now reading his daughter a story while giving the baby girl a bottle. That’s what I call sexy!

He doesn’t have to be picture perfect or photo shoot fresh with baby oil over every square inch of his body (although that would be nice) for me to get excited. The fact that he’s a team player that is always willing to help me with the household duties and the affairs of the children….and find the time for me all while making sure that he is providing for this house, really means a lot. He does it all with kindness and sincerity and this man always has my back. That’s what I call sexy!

Just the other day, I felt exhausted because the kids were sick.  But, I still managed to nurse them, bake cookies and make his favorite meal. You should’ve seen me. I was looking a hot mess in a t-shirt and some sweats, but he thanked me…kissed me softly…and complimented me on the dinner. That made me feel like I was the best mom and the sexiest wife EVER! Now, THAT is what I call sexy!

I guess you can say it’s all about perspective. Don’t get me wrong, I still love to look at the Morris Chestnuts and the Darren Sharpers of the world. Its just that who needs all that when you have something that is tangible? Something that causes such an incredible reaction…All it takes these days is simply watching my husband take care of his business and knowing that I’m his girl. That, my friends, is what I call the new sexy!
