Tamela and David Mann Renew Their Vows in Dream Ceremony

Last weekend, one of our favorite couples (that’s Black and Married with kids!) renewed their vows after 25 years of marriage. Tamela and David Mann are widely known from their roles in Tyler Perry’s films and television series.  Tamela Mann is also an award winning Gospel artist that sings one our favorite gospel songs, Take Me to The King.

They had a full wedding ceremony at the Joule Hotel in Dallas, TX with family and friends and many celebrity guests there as witnesses (including gospel superstar Kirk Franklin and hip hop producer Timbaland.)  They pulled out all of the stops to make this a dream wedding because when the couple married in 1988, they couldn’t afford a wedding.

“When we got married 25 years ago, we didn’t have enough money for a wedding,” explains Tamela, whose pastor married the couple in his study. At the time, the “Take Me To The King!” singer even had to borrow a ring.”   (from US Weekly)

Also over the weekend, Tia Mowry-Hardirict celebrated her 5 year anniversary with husband Cory. The two had their vow renewal ceremony in Malibu, California in an intimate gathering that included their toddler son Cree, as well as Tia’s twin Tamera Mowry-Houseley, Tamera’s husband Adam, and their 5-month-old son Aden.

It’s great to see these couples celebrating their love for each other years after they initially made their vows.
