On Friday, for the first time, Tamron Hall showed us all her gorgeous natural hair on the Today Show, stating that is her first time wearing her natural hair on television.
Although the natural hair movement is taking the world by storm, it is still incredibly rare for us to see a Black female journalist wear her natural hair, especially one who is a co-host on a highly rated, national show.
Hall received many compliments from her colleagues and tweets were flying left and right about how gorgeous she looked with the short, natural hairstyle. Tamron even sent a tweet out to natural hair blogger, Curly Nikki, saying that she was keeping her promise to her by having no heat or chemicals in her hair.
Although it is a shame that is should even be an issue, it is so refreshing to see so many people embrace her new look. We hope more Black female journalists who desire the same look are encourage by Tamron to move forward and wear their natural hair too.
