Queen Latifah, Common, and David Alan Grier are among the all star cast of the long awaited remake of the award-winning Broadway musical ‘The Wiz‘ which airs live tonight on NBC.
Starring newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy, the star-studded 3 hour live event promises to be a show stopping, eye popping new take on the Tony Award winning funky musical. And, it reintroduces the original’s first Dorothy, Stephanie Mills, in a new role as the beloved Auntie Em.
