Travel Tuesday: Family Fun At The New Cars Land!

Disney has done it again! Summer’s hottest new amusement park is set to open on June 15th at Hollywood’s favorite theme park, Disney California Adventure. The most popular tourist destination in California will no longer be Los Angeles, it’s now the town of Radiator Springs. Our favorite animated friends from the Disney-Pixar film “Cars”””Lightening McQueen, Flo, Luigi and of course Tow Mater””all come to life in the town of Radiator Springs on Route 66.

Disney imagineers succeeded in re-creating every aspect of the popular “Cars” movie franchise in its newest fun filled theme park. “Cars Land” expands Disney California Adventure theme park by 12 acres. Your kids will love it when they step onto Route 66 and enjoy 3 cars themed attractions. Float thru the air as you slide and glide on one of “Luigi’s Flying Tires,” or go for a spinning tow ride on “Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree.” Race fans can satisfy their need for speed, imagine they are driving “Lightening McQueen” and race other guests on the “Radiator Springs Racers” thrill ride.

Once you’ve enjoyed all of the thrill rides, make a pit stop at “Flo’s V8 Caf锝 or “Fillmore’s Taste-In” and follow lunch/dinner with an ice cream treat at the “Cozy Cone Motel.” Remember your family fun at “Cars Land” with official gear from “Sarge’s Surplus Hut” and souvenirs from “Radiator Springs Curio” shop. See how the Disney team brought the town of Radiator Springs to life in California by watching the video below.

Give your little “Cars” fans the vacation of a lifetime at “Cars Land.” Be among the first guests to enjoy Disney’s newest theme park. The starting flag drops at “Cars Land” on June 15th! Travel packages and park tickets are available on their website. For more information, please visit www.carsland.com.
