One of our favorite summer music festivals is coming! We brought you the news earlier this year that one of this year’s festival headliners was none other than Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding. We thought we would update you on another fabulous music icon that has been added to the roster. Bringing his unique brand of soul and pop music to the festival stage for the very first time is the one and only Seal, performing on July 6 @ 7:30 pm. Opening for Seal is the fantastic, eclectic and funny Macy Gray. This is definitely a date night in the making, BMWK couples.
We must add that the festival is not just for couples or singles, it’s also a great event for the family. Street performers, face painters, music classes and exhibits for the little music lovers make the festival fun for the entire family.
Fantastic travel packages are available now through April 27th. Starting at the amazing price of $275 at the Hyatt Regency Montreal, guests will enjoy 2 nights accommodations, 2 breakfasts, 1 concert ticket, t-shirt, shoulder bag and 15% off an indoor concert (i.e. Seal’s show). Other hotels also offer similarly priced travel packages. Book one of these packages now! They are known to sell out quickly.
In addition to the great indoor concerts and the 350 plus outdoor concerts this year’s festival is also host to the exclusive show “The Devils Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith,” July 2-7 at 7 pm nightly. This show is a Broadway style musical tribute to the “Empress of the Blues.” This is a must see for blues fans. Tickets are $52.50. (Please note that the July 3 show begins at 8 pm).
