Memorial Day weekend comes to life with great music, beautiful people and fun in the sun on the jewel of the Caribbean, the island of Aruba. From May 25th through May 30th, Aruba comes alive with the sounds of R&B music, neo-soul and laughter as the 11th annual Soul Beach Music Festivals gets under way. The festival has hosted such artists as Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Joe and Toni Braxton. Kevin Hart, Mark Curry, Chris Spencer and Mike Epps have brought the house down at the Comedy Jam.
This year, the party starts on Wednesday with the welcoming party, Friday night is laugh out loud night at the Comedy Jam and Saturday the party continues with our favorite neo-soul angel Chrisette Michele, as well as Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant who now perform together as “˜Heads of State.’ Sunday night the party wraps up with unforgettable performances by Tsunami and our favorite dream girl Jennifer Hudson. Sunday promises to be a night that you do not want to miss.
Prices for festival concerts are $70 per concert or buy a 3-day pass for $200. Host hotels include: the Westin Resort & Casino, Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino, the Hyatt Regency, and the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino which is offering up to 30% discount on accommodations. While on the beautiful island of Aruba, be sure to take a walk on the sandy beaches, gamble the night away at the Casino and find time to do a little shopping.
