Unbelievable! Mizzou Athlete Strike Could Strip Players of Their Scholarships

So, Missouri is making headlines again. And, not surprisingly, it’s an issue of race. But this time, that issue is shrouded in a proposed bill by Republican State Representative Rick Brattin.

The bill, filed with the Missouri House of Representatives would do the following: “any college athlete who calls, incites, supports, or participates in any strike or concerted refusal to play a scheduled game shall have his or her scholarship revoked.”

And any member of the coaching staff who supports their athletes decision would  be fined by their respective school.

This bill is obviously a knee jerk reaction to the previously successful strike by the Mizzou football team that played a large part in the ultimate removal of college President Tim Wolfe.

We neither know when this bill will be placed on the calendar, nor its potential outcome. What we do know is that once again, when racism is challenged, those with political clout will try to find a way to shut it down.

BMWK, what do you think?
