Video: Official Trailer for the Anita Hill Documentary “ANITA: Speaking Truth to Power”

In 1991, the entire country watched while a poised, intelligent, African American woman became the center of a scandal that would rock our nation and forever change her life.

Anita Hill, a law professor from Oklahoma, stood before a Senate committee of 14 White men and recounted the numerous acts of sexual harassment she fell victim to at the hands of Supreme Court nominee, Clarence Thomas.

Bringing to light issues of sexual misconduct, power, and gender inequality in the workplace, Hill’s graphic testimony sparked a political firestorm.

March 21st is the release of “Anita: Speaking Truth to Power,” a documentary directed by Academy Award–winning filmmaker, Freida Mock.  The film celebrates Anita Hill’s courage while taking an intimate look at her personal life, how speaking out years ago impacted her life, and what has happened both personally and professionally in the last 22 years.

Watch the trailer to get a glimpse of a documentary the uncovers a side of Anita Hill most of us don’t know.
