Your child’s next favorite cartoon or show just might come from a new YouTube channel. YouTube understands the need for family-friendly content on the world’s largest video website and has announced a partnership with Disney to create a co-branded YouTube channel. Both parties will combine to spend between $10 to $15 million dollars to create original family-friendly online programming that will run concurrent on Disney.com and YouTube.
The first web series is slated to premiere in February 2012. It will feature Swampy, the title character from a Disney’s mobile app game, “Where’s My Water.”
How often do your kids watch movies and videos online? Would you be interested in more deals like this being made to provide quality programming to the web?

This will be really important, as my almost 3 year old nephew can already navigate YouTube, requesting his favorite videos.
