3 Laundry Tips that Allow My Family to Relax and Be Ourselves

This is a sponsored post brought to you by The Clorox Company.

Like many families, our family is busy, busy, busy in the evenings. When we get home from work or school, our evening shift begins.  I have dinner to cook, the kids have homework and music and/or sports practice, and my husband is usually working (even after he gets home.)

We know the ideal situation would be for us to come home and immediately change our clothes, so that we don’t ruin them during our evening activities.  But that just doesn’t happen all of the time.  Sometimes (no a lot of times) we come home and the first thing we do is relax.  We sit down and take a breather before getting started with our activities.  And we never go upstairs to change our clothes.  The kids kick off their shoes and they walk all around the hard wood floors, I start dinner, and my husband snacks while he is working on his laptop.  So, can you imagine the stains that I find when I do the laundry?

Yes, I know what you’re thinking: “Why don’t you all just change out of your clothes when you get home and you will not have to worry about those stains?”  Well, that’s true and false.  Chances are, the kids clothes are already stained from their daytime activities.  But at the end of the day, I pick my battles.  And I’d rather spend a few minutes on the couch relaxing with my kids or creating memories by eating popcorn in the family room with the kids, than worrying about stains.
