Many spouses feel this way. Since I minister primarily to women, I’ll address the confusion I hear in their voices when they’re dealing with a marital storm. Whoever told you that you must “lose you” or sacrifice mind, body, and soul for a marriage lied. Yes, they straight up lied to you. “Until death do us part” does not mean you must die a slow death in order to fulfill your marriage vows.
Now, there are sacrifices that you must make for your marriage. I’ve written about the ones I make on a daily basis, and I do so willingly and lovingly. On the other hand, there are 5 sacrifices I am not willing or required to make in marriage.
