Lamar and I recently returned from a media tour of the Islands of the Bahamas. And we had a very eye opening experience to all that the Bahamas has to offer. And while we had a great time with all of the other folks on the tour, Lamar and I are itching to get back there to enjoy all of the grown and sexy things that you can do as a couple.
Here are only a few of the things that I want to do when I go back to the Bahamas with my sweetie pie:
#1 Relax on the beach with my sweetie.
There is nothing more sexy or romantic than taking a day (or a few days) to relax on the beach.
“Whether you are taking a long walk on the beach, playing in the water, or snorkeling together, all of the stresses of every day life should melt away or at least be put on hold while the two of you enjoy each other and reconnect.”
The Islands of The Bahamas have some of the world’s most stunning beaches. During our trip, we were able to visit the Pink Sand Beaches on Harbour Island. They were simply breathtaking! They made me want to runaway with Lamar right then and there!!!
#2 Take the time to soak it all in on one of the Out Islands of the Bahamas.
Most of the time when I ask people if they have been to the Bahamas, they say: “Yes, we’ve been to the Nassau/Paradise Island.” And while Nassau is great, you HAVE to go back to experience the Out Islands of the Bahamas. (Yes it’s mandatory!!)
The Out Islands of the Bahamas are synonymous with relaxation. They have over 55 world class resorts and boutique hotels that will allow you to have the ultimate grown and sexy vacation experience.
“On the Out Islands, they have what is known as Island Time where time seems to stand still. This allows you to do what you want to do at your own pace and soak it all in.”
As I mentioned above, while we were there we took a ferry ride over to the Historic Harbour Island. The pink sand beach of Harbour Island has been named one of the world’s top 10 beaches. Harbour Island is a place where the main transportation is via golf carts. It’s where you can stroll around for weeks to see the Historic Land Marks and romantic beaches and still not see everything they have to offer.
It’s where you can relax while staying at several luxurious resorts and hotels such as the historic Landing Hotel & Restaurant. This boutique hotel has 12 rooms that I can only describe as quaint, cozy, relaxing, and romantic.
The thing to do on Harbour Island is to chill and relax. And that’s exactly what Lamar and I plan to do on our next visit to the Bahamas…. sit on the pink sand beaches, relax, sip on tropical drinks, eat good food (the Lobster Quesadilla at the local restaurant Sip Sip is to die for) and enjoy each other..now how grown and sexy is that!!! (Seriously Lamar we have to hurry up and get back there!!!)
#3 Stay at the Atlantis and get our grown and sexy on, even if the kids come with us!
The Atlantis Resort has activities for the entire family and reasonably priced accommodations that can meet almost any budget (from economy to first call all the way.) Their extensive list of entertainment and activities includes: 11 pools, a water park, night clubs, scuba diving, snorkeling, casino, a theatre, bars and lounges, comedy shows, an aquarium, and the list goes on.
During our tour of the Atlantis resorts, I was most impressed with the teen night club. They now have an awesome teen night club (for ages 13 to 17.) Crush is basically a teen paradise!! My teenage son would probably have a heart attack if he saw the multi touch-screen computers and surface tables, the Gaming Room that was stocked with pretty much any type of gaming system and game, and a floor-to-ceiling gaming tree with 24 gaming consoles and ten private gaming cabanas.
I also liked that the teen dance room did not allow too much PDA…that’s right no excessive bumping and grinding and kissing on their dance floors.
“So while Mom and Dad are off getting their grown and sexy on, you can rest assured that your kids are not doing the exact same thing!”
They also have a very cool kids club with activities for ages 3 to 11 that would keep our little ones busy while mom and dad were …you guessed it…getting their grown and sexy on!!
But if you look up “grown and sexy” in the dictionary, then you will find this picture of the exclusive adult only pool of The Cove Atlantis. Spending the day at that pool in one of their many private cabanas has been added to our bucket list.
#4 Spend the Day on Blue Lagoon Island and get a kiss from Salvatore
Blue Lagoon Island has picture perfect beaches to lounge on, any type of water sport you want to play, provides lunch and tropical drinks at the bar, and the ultimate Dolphin Experience that allows you to get up close and personal with their dolphins and sea lions.
“Spending the day on this private island paradise with your sweetie, while sipping on a fruity drink, enjoying a few water sports, or lounging on a hammock is the ultimate grown and sexy Bahamian experience!”
#5 Take your sweetie to a romantic grown and sexy dinner at the Graycliff restaurant.
Have dinner at the Graycliff restaurant which provides a 5 star dining experience with Bahamian influenced cuisine and it’s vast collection of fine wines. The wine collection is so vast that it’s the third largest private collection in the world. We had the amazing opportunity to tour their wine cellar where we got a rare glimpse at the oldest bottle of wine in the world. If you don’t have a few hundred thousand to shell out for that bottle, you can spend some time in the palor and enjoy the singing and piano playing. And after partaking in one of the most delicious Bahamian meals, head over to the cognac bar for an after dinner drink or perhaps a cigar.
Lamar and I were in the Bahamas for 5 days and we did much much more than what I could share with you in this post. We took the time to really stray off of the “tourist path” and really got see the real authentic Bahamas. We were able to interact with the Bahamian people who were so welcoming and loving. And we were able to relax and reconnect with each other in ways that we just could not do during our everyday hectic lives…. now how grown and sexy is that!!!
