50 Million Pound Challenge Week 8

We’re back for our weekly update on the State Farm 50 Million Pound Challenge. It’s not too late to join our team that we have going on their site. Here is an update on how we’re doing so far:

HER VIEW:
BMWK family, I am so happy that I started the 50 Million pound challenge. Everytime I make a decision to eat a healthy snack instead of junk food..or everytime I make a decision to exercise I really feel good about myself. For some reason, in the afternoons I get the munchies. Instead of reaching for cookies and chips…etc. I have been eating fruit and baby carrots. I have been travelling a lot over the past week and I must admit that I am not losing weight as fast as I would like. However, I have not gained any weight either…..so I am pleased with that. I have 10 more pounds to lose in order to reach my ideal weight and my goal is to lose that weight by the end of June. I think I can do that.

HIS VIEW:
We’ve reached week 8 of our challenge. How are you guys doing so far? It’s been great to see more folks joining our team on the 50 Million Pound Challenge website and getting involved. After you’ve been doing something like this for a while I think that it’s good to revisit the reasons why you started in the first place. To do this I went back to our initial post here.

I read over everything and thought about whether or not I’ve been meeting our original goals. Well…. I’ve definitely been eating healthier since beginning the challenge and that was part of what I set out to do. It took me a   while to get ramped up on the excercise part and we’ve been traveling a lot more than usual lately so that has thrown of my schedule but I’m definitely more active than before the challenge and plan on still increasing more before we hit our cruise later this summer. How are you holding up to your initial goals?
