As we get closer to the start of the Montreal Jazz Festival, the lineup keeps getting hotter. Already confirmed are: blues legend B.B. King, Ben Harper, Norah Jones and the fabulous Esperanza Spalding and her Radio Music Society. As if this fantastic list of music performers were not enough, the rising star of R&B, Soul and Funk Janelle Monae has just been added to the festival’s list of headliners.
The Metropolis club/lounge comes to life on Wednesday June 27th at 8 pm when Janelle Monae takes to the stage for one of her unforgettable performances. It promises to be a concert you will not want to miss. Also check out the festivals exclusive tribute to jazz legend Miles Davis. “Miles Smiles” is a musical tribute to the icon by his brothers in arms/band members Kenny Garrett, Wallace Roney and Omar Hakim to name a few.
