Celeb Marriage Scene: Carmelo and LaLa Respond to Divorce Rumors

Carmelo Anthony and wife LaLa are the latest targets of internet divorce rumors, but the pair shut down the rumor mill showing up arm and arm and all smiles leaving Scott’s restaurant in London this week. Carmelo also addressed rumors of a split telling the New York Post, “Just letting you know me and my wife have no problems. We’re good.”

Twin actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry have always been close, but the two got closer than close when Tamera invited her sister Tia to taste her placenta following the birth of her son Aden on the season finale of their reality television show, “Tia and Tamera.”  Tia, who joked that the placenta sample was payback for her making Tamera sample her breast milk during an episode last year, tasted the placenta (mixed with brandy) out of a dropper and said “I was really, really surprised that it tasted pretty good mixed with a little bit of alcohol.” Surprisingly eating the placenta after birth is believed to have health benefits such as treating postpartum depression.

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated baby Blue Ivy’s first birthday and it’s no surprise that the two went all out to celebrate. The pair reportedly spent $200,000 on a princess-themed birthday party for Blue and their family and friends. Her first birthday gift from her parents? An $80,000 diamond encrusted Barbie doll.

Actress Salli Richardson Whitfield was named Celebrity Host of the 21st Annual Pan African Film Festival which opens February 7th. Founded by actress Ja’Net Dubois and actor Danny Glover, the Pan African Film Festival is the largest black film festival in the U.S. and screens films by and about people of African descent from around the globe. Salli, who is married to actor Dondre Whitfield, also stars in the Lifetime movie “Pastor Brown” in February and just finished wrapping a Lifetime Pilot, “The Secret Lives of Wives.”
