Fall in Love Again On These 5 Surprisingly Simple and Sexy Fall Dates

So much happens in the month of October. The weather obviously changes, easily reminding us that fall is alive and well. Parents get the chance to create or buy costumes as they’re children prepare for halloween.

Couples also get the chance to exchange gifts as love is celebrated on Sweetest Day (October 17th this year).  October is the perfect month, right before the holidays, while there is still some decent weather, to really spend time enjoying your spouse. Here are a few ideas you may not have considered for fall date nights:

Run, run, run!

Sign up for a marathon that supports a worthy cause, together.

October happens to be Domestic Violence as well as Breast Cancer Month and there are opportunities in just about every city to donate and participate.

Working out and getting healthy together is sexy all by itself. But add in the fact that you’re raising money for a worthy cause makes it all the more fun. There is truly something special that happens to a couple when they collaborate and support one another in this way. Being of service and giving back strengthens a union and reminds them to count their blessings.

Best Dressed Fun

Halloween brings about so many opportunities for date nights. Hay rides, pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving contests, haunted houses, and even Halloween parties with costume contests are a fun way for you and your spouse to unwind and get a little creative together.

Snuggle Up!

Cuddling may not sound like a date, but it could be. There’s nothing better than snuggling up with your boo on a cool fall night and doing absolutely nothing. It feels good to just be in each other’s presence. Talking about your relationship and how to make it even better, while cuddling, can only benefit your relationship.

Start a Fire in the Kitchen

Cooking together and getting creative in the kitchen is another fun date night. To make it even more exciting, consider having a cook off, where both partners make the same dish and see who does the best. Your creativity doesn’t have to stop at food, think about your favorite fall cocktails and see who can be the better bartender. Like this warm Rum Punch recipe I just discovered that includes  4 to 5 lemons:

1 tangerine, tangelo or other thick-skinned, small citrus fruit

¾ cup Demerara sugar

1 ¼ cups amber or aged rum

1 ¼ cups Jamaican rum (preferably 100-proof)

1 cup cognac

Freshly grated nutmeg, as needed

Try feeding each other once the meals have been made. Nothing says fall like some good cooking to fill your belly and warm your spirit.

Enjoy Your Boo!

Scary movie night seems like it should happen only on Halloween, but can happen at anytime. What makes it fun is that the screaming and jumping will take place all in your spouse’s arms. Scary movies are just sometimes fun to watch. Invite some other couples over and you are guaranteed a good time with lots of laughs and screams.

Date nights are necessary for a couple. A healthy marriage breeds a healthy family and spending time with just the two of you creates that state.
