Lay Hands on Your Spouse: It Says “I Got You!”

It’s a simple yet powerful act of oneness ““laying hands on your spouse. My husband swears that I have “magic hands.” Before we married, I laid hands on him a lot ““the ear, neck, and hands, primarily. It was sensual not sexual (at least for me). Most of the times I did it unintentionally, and when I would stop, he’d beg for more. “That’s one of the reasons I fell in love with you,” he says.

My husband lays hands on me too but for a different reason. When I am sick, he touches the affected area of my body and prays for healing. The best part is that I don’t have to ask. One moment I’m in pain and the next I’m resting peacefully.

There is a power transfer when spouses lay hands on each other for companionship, for pleasure, for healing, for bonding, for relaxation, for anointing, and so much more. A spouse’s hands say, “I got you!”

If there is strength you need right now, “I got you.”

If there is healing you need right now, “I got you.”

If there is deliverance from the enemy you need right now, “I got you.”

If there is confidence you need right now, “I got you.”

If you just need a reminder that you are loved beyond measure, “I got you.”

“Relax and receive the power God has given me as your husband/wife. There’s nothing to worry about, sweetheart, because I got you and God’s got us.”

It doesn’t require any money to lay hands on your spouse. Just time, faith, and love. Believe for whatever it is you are transferring through your hands. Pray for it, and pray for each other. And then watch God work through the simple yet powerful act of laying hands.
