I’ll be honest, I am not known for my baking. I’d rather be eating a piece of cake than making one. Even with that being said, I was extremely excited about an invitation to the Cake Boss and Meyer Corporation launch party. The party was amazing and introduced us to the new line of Cake Boss bakeware. From the beautifully decorated space to the extravagant cakes on display in the reception area, the event was fabulous.
If you aren’t very familiar, Cake Boss is a show which airs on TLC and focuses on Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJ. Buddy Valastro is the star of the hit reality series. If you’ve ever watched the show you know the great deal of effort and time that goes into each cake order. From high-rise buildings to life size race cars, there isn’t an idea, image or design that Buddy and his team can’t replicate. As a result of the growing popularity of the show, Meyer Corporation, who also produces Paula Deen’s and Rachel Ray’s line of cookware, is the company behind the new Cake Boss line. According to HFN, the line will feature more than 20 collections which include baking accessories and tools and display and serve ware to name a few.
As the evening’s festivities took place, I mixed and mingled with Meyer executives as well as sales teams from cooking.com and Winefield non-stick cookware as we all waited to hear from the man himself.
The evening truly began as Rachel Ray graced the stage to introduce and officially welcome Buddy to the Meyer family. Buddy shared his excitement in regards to the launch of the new line and mentioned the main objective of the Cake Boss line was to bring family together. His brand, he stated, is about quality but most importantly it’s about familial. One of the products Buddy seemed most excited about was the cake in a box kits and having an online presence to provide step by step instructions. This sounded exciting, even for a non-baker.
As Buddy ended his speech, he reiterated how easy the baking would be with this new bakeware. It’s so easy, according to Buddy, that even his 9 year old can use it with ease. This, of course tied into the overall goal of being easy, fun and bringing the whole family together. Look for the Cake Boss line to officially launch this summer, be promoted on the show, and be sold at various retail locations. I know I will!
