New Multicultural TV Channel Launches – Will You Be Watching?

A new channel launches today for Dish Network subscribers. MyPortal TV will will feature independent films, studio features, music videos, reality shows, drama series and much more. More than 18 million people will have access to the channel, and the channel’s creators say they’re looking to fill a void left by other cable channels.

“”MPTV has been developed to offer consumers a more diverse choice of programming,” says Len Gibson, CEO of the new network.  “Consumers are often fed a specific type of programming from networks. MPTV will provide a variety of different types of programs that will appeal to all races.   Our content will speak for itself and we expect to draw a large audience through offering quality, timeless entertainment.”

Part of that quality entertainment will be a showing of Tyler New Media’s “Men Ain’t Boys,” premiering for the first time on television. Of course you know we’ll let you know when it airs.

In addition, there will be an online portal for the network, consisting of additional programming and the ability for independent filmmakers to pitch TV shows and films to executives.
