Snowed In? These 6 Items Help Make the Winter Shut-In a Bit More Bearable

You probably know this, but it is cold outside! The kind of cold that gets in your bones and makes you angry at the world. The kind of cold that should be outlawed. The kind of cold that laughs at your layers and scoffs at your fur boots. No matter what you try, the cold always wins.

Until scientist figure out how to control the weather, we are stuck with old man winter’s icy chill for a few more months, so we may as well make the best of it. Here are a few creative comforts and fun activities to help starve off cabin fever. Just keep hope alive and focus on April – then we can complain about the heat.

More Throws & Pillows

When I’m cold, I just want to wrap myself in as many warm throws and plush pillows as humanly possible. To me, there is no such thing as too many sofa accessories.

Have Fun with PJs

The entire family can get in on this one. Crazy pjs, especially if they match, bring a family together in embarrassment. Even if you are flying solo, go all out. Take a few selfies to record the occasion.

Family Games 2.0

Game night is always a winner. For an extra dose of excitement, set up an obstacle course of games and activities for a gauntlet through the house. First to get through the course wins!

Snazzy Mugs

Hot chocolate, apple cider, veggie soups… the mug was made for these wonders. Add a crunchy cookie or toasted bread for added yum. I think these all into one mugs would be perfect.

Grown & Sexy Cocktails Glasses

Not all winter drinks are family friendly, but are welcomed none the less. A cup of coffee is great, but when the kids go to sleep, a glass of Irish cream is sometimes better.

Spa it Up

Cold weather is murder on skin and hair, so take a moment to enjoy an ultra moisturizing at home spa treatment. Most kits come with everything from bath oils to face masks.
