Travel Tuesday: Honeymoon Resorts

My BMWK colleague Sheree Adams wrote a fabulous article entitled “Honeymooning Every Year — Why It’s So Important.” The article reminded couples that they need to take a honeymoon every year on their anniversary. The statistics are there and the research shows that couples that travel together communicate better and keep the romance alive longer. So with that in mind, we have two fabulous resorts that would be perfect for your annual “honeymoon.” Let’s call them our “honeymoon resorts.”

Our first “honeymoon resort” was inspired by our favorite electric lady Janelle Monae. Janelle Monae spent her birthday at this fabulous resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Flower Hill Resort is known for its luxury and location. Perfectly located on 4 beautiful acres overlooking sister resort Half Moon, Flower Hill resort is a private getaway with 5 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a gorgeous spa, and infinity pool. Guests can enjoy a delicious dinner by the resort’s private chef followed by a nightcap in the “Hemingway Room.” Guests can also enjoy fun at Half Moon Resort. Flower Hill guests can enjoy horseback riding or a swimming with the dolphins adventure. Flower Hill is a perfect choice for your very first honeymoon or your annual honeymoon. It’s luxurious, private it’s beautiful. For more information on this honeymoon resort, visit www.flowerhilljamaica.com.

Our second “honeymoon resort” is the gorgeous Sugar Ridge Resort in Antigua. Nestled on a hillside bordered with sugar cane and near fabulous islands Nevis and St. Kitts, this resort features 2 great onsite restaurants — Sugar Club and Carmichaels, 2 gorgeous swimming pools, and a luxury spa. Sugar Ridge is perfect for honeymoons. The suits are two levels with a private plunge pool on the lower level, large veranda, and dining deck on the upper level. The fabulous four poster king bed is the centerpiece of the suite. To learn more about this amazing resort visit www.sugarridgeantigua.com or call 1-866-591-4881. All-inclusive packages are available.

Remember your annual honeymoon is your quiet time with your sweetheart. No cell phones, laptops or iPads. Phone calls from family and friends only in the event of emergencies. Like Sheree said in her article, plan the next “annual honeymoon” as soon as the one you’re on is over. Discuss it on the flight home. LOL
