Its official Shrek is taking over Gaylord National for this year’s exclusive “ICE” holiday extravaganza! BMWK attended an exclusive “˜Christmas in July’ event this past Saturday announcing the theme for this year’s “Christmas on the Potomac featuring “ICE” holiday events.

Gaylord National in National Harbor, MD will be home to two million dazzling lights, a 60-foot tall glass Christmas tree and the only place where you and your family can enjoy “ICE! featuring DreamWorks’ Shrek the Halls!”

Hand-carved from 2 million pounds of colorful ice, the popular holiday attraction returns this holiday season with a hilarious theme taken from the TV special “Shrek the Halls!” Guests will enjoy the ice carved story of Shrek learning the real meaning of the holidays while he tries to plan the perfect Christmas for Fiona and the kids amidst chaos. The chaos and commotion is caused by none other than Shrek’s friends Gingy, Puss in Boots and of course Donkey.

Now thru October 1st, (advance) adult tickets (during non-peak times only) are an amazing $18.99!
The new Christmassy “DreamWorks Experience” hotel package is also available. Three night packages are an amazing $199 (per night). This exclusive package includes: front of the line access to “ICE!” honorary Ogre status and dinner at the “˜ShrekFeast,’ character wake-up calls and much more.
