A heated argument at a Newington, Conn. Chuck E. Cheese turned violent when a woman pulled out and loaded a semi-automatic hand gun before being arrested, police say.

Thirty-year-old, Tawana Bourne attended the restaurant with her child on Monday night. For unknown reasons,  an argument ensued with another mom, who was also with a child during her visit. The Middletown woman bore a registered .380 caliber handgun causing the staff to contact Newington Police Department.

“At Chuck E. Cheese’s, providing wholesome entertainment to families with young children and maintaining a safe experience for our guests and staff is a primary concern for us just as it is top-of-mind for the families and parents who visit us,” an employee stated. “We want to assure parents and caregivers that we take great measures to protect the experience children and families have in our stores.”

No one was injured during the incident and Bourne’s gun permit has since been taken away. She was released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
