My name is Krystal, and I watch cartoons. I could lie and say the reason I watch them is because of my children. But that just wouldn’t be true. I love animation, sound effects and silly little talking animals. Here are a few of my favorite cartoons.
Handy Manny: Manny had GOT to be the coolest cartoon man ever. The way he struts around with his toolbox is just amazing. Manny has more swag than any other cartoon character ever drawn.
Phineas and Ferb: Fantastic or what? These little bad ass boys are the most creative kids I’ve ever seen. They need to work for NASA or something. By the way, when are they EVER going back to school?
Fishhooks: You may not have heard of this cartoon but it’s about a group of teenage fish that live in a fish tank which is located in a pet store. Crazy, right? There are so many characters- very typical of a real high school. You have the popular fish, the nerd fish, the jocks and the nobodies. Funny, very funny.
Recess: This is an old cartoon but it is great. I’ve watched it for years. This show highlights the best part about school”....recess. TJ and his friends are the greatest.
Rugrats: Tommy and Chuckie are the bomb diggedy. Who doesn’t love a toddler with a poopie diaper? LOL And Suzie Charmichael? A star. An absolute star.
Fanboy and Chum Chum: Admittedly, I think these kids are kinda”....dumb. They really believe they are super heroes. And where are their parents? Why do they live in a tree house? But aside from all of my questions I think Chum Chum is the sweetest little thing. He’s so cute.
*An honorable mention goes to The Boondocks. While I think this cartoon is amazingly clever and original, it has just a tad bit too much profanity and “adult” content for me. (This coming from the girl who curses like a sailor.) With that being said, please know that I usually watch it late at night with the TV turned down softly as I buckle over in laughter covering my mouth as not to awake Mr. Incredible who is usually in a deep sleep.
